The invention relates to a silicon-based, addition cross-linking impression material which contains (a) an organopolysiloxane consisting of at least two unsaturated groups in the molecule (b) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane consisting of at least three Si-H groups in the molecule, (c) optionally, an organopolysiloxane without reactive groups, (d) a platinum catalyst, (e) optionally, a hydrophilising agent, (f) a filler, (g) optionally other conventional additives, auxiliary substances and colourants. The impression material is characterised in that it contains as a component (h) a polyalkylene oxide and/or a derivative thereof with a mean molar mass of Mw > 1000 to between 0.001 and 1.0 weight percent, in relation to the total mass of the hardened material.
