CHEMIOSMOSIS combines both electron transport chain (ETC) and ATP-synthase entzyme in mitohcondria. ETC in space between inner memranes produces protongradient, which drives ATP-production in ATP-synthase complex. The proton motive force of this electrochemical gradient is enough to rotate ATP-synthase mechanism. Protons MOVING down their gradient produces MECHANICAL energy, which shifts to the end-part of enzyme (knop), which is catalytic unit, where it changes to chemical energy, which binds together phosphate (Pi) to ADP to form ATP.
KEMIOSMOOSI yhdistää mitokondrion elektronien siirtoketjun sekä ATP-syntaasi-ensyymi-kompleksin. ETC sisäkalvostojen välitiloissa se tuottaa protonigradientin, joka ajaa ATP-tuotantoa ATP-syntaasi kompleksissa. Tämän sähkökemiallisen gradientin varausero riittää pyörittämään ATP-syntaasi dynamoa. CHEMIOSMOSIS is that kind of very ancient, highly conserved, process as writed above. I made however one factual mistake in english version. In eight row reads: "Electrons moving down their gradient ... " It should of course be "PROTONS moving down their gradient ... " as It is in finnish side, which is the correct one. My apologies.
KEMIOSMOOSI on kuvatun kaltainen, ikivanha, hyvin konservoitunut prosessi, kuten yllä lukee. Tein kuitenkin yhden asiavirheen englanninkielisessä versiossa. Kahdeksannella rivillä lukee: "Electrons moving down their gradient ... ", pitäisi tietenkin olla; "PROTONS" moving down their gradient ...", kuten se on suomenkielisessä versiossa, joka on se oikea asiaintila. Pahoittelen.
