It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator. 20A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one. 21Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. 22But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. Children of God 23Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. 24So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. 25Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. 26So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

7But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. 8But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do. 9Be careful, however, that the exercise of your rights does not become a stumbling block to the weak. 10For if someone with a weak conscience sees you, with all your knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, won’t that person be emboldened to eat what is sacrificed to idols? 11So this weak brother or sister, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge. 12When you sin against them in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. 13Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause them to fall.

For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. 20But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. 21I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. 22Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. 1 YOWANN 2 Krist Agan Pledyas 1Ow fleghigow, an re ma a skrifav dhywgh, rag na begghowgh. Ha mar pegh denvyth, yma dhyn pledyas gans an Tas, Yesu Krist, an gwiryon. 2Hag ev yw dehwelyans rag agan peghosow: ha nyns yw unnsel rag agan peghosow ni, mes ynwedh rag peghosow an bys oll. 3Ha dredhi y hyllyn bos sur y'n aswonnyn, mar kwithyn y worhemmynnow. 4Neb a lever, ‘My a'n aswonn’, mes ny with y worhemmynnow, gowleveryas yth yw ev, ha nyns usi an gwirder ynno. 5Mes piwpynag a synso y er, ynno yth yw kerensa Duw perfydhhes: dredhi y hwodhon, ni dhe vos ynno. 6Neb a lever ev dhe driga ynno, y tegoedh dhodho ynwedh kerdhes par dell gerdhi ev. An Gorhemmynn Nowydh 7Hwi garadowyon, ny skrifav dhywgh gorhemmynn nowydh, mes gorhemmynn koth a'gas bo a-dhia'n dalleth. An gorhemmynn koth yw an ger re glewsowgh. 8Arta, gorhemmynnow nowydh a skrifav dhywgh, an pyth yw gwir ynno ev hag ynnowgh hwi: rag tremenys yw an tewlder ha'n gwir wolow lemmyn a splann. 9Neb a lever y vos y'n golewder, hag a gas y vroder, yma ev y'n tewlder bys omma. 10Neb a gar y vroder a drig y'n golewder ha nyns eus ynno ken a drebuchya. 11Mes neb a gas y vroder yma ev yn tewlder, hag a gerdh yn tewlder, ha ny wonn ev ple'th a, rag tewlder dhe dhalla y dhewlagas. 12My a skrif dhywgh hwi, fleghigow, drefenn bos gevys dhywgh agas peghosow a-barth y hanow ev. 13My a skrif dhywgh hwi, tasow, drefenn hwi dh'y aswonn neb usi a-dhia'n dalleth. My a skrif dhywgh, gwer yowynk, drefenn hwi dhe fetha an tebel el. My a skrif dhywgh hwi, fleghigow, drefenn hwi dhe aswonn an Tas. 14My re skrifas dhywgh, tasow, drefenn hwi dhe aswonn neb usi a-dhia'n dalleth. My re skrifas dhywgh, gwer yowynk, drefenn hwi dhe vos krev ha ger Duw dhe driga ynnowgh ha hwi dhe fetha an tebel el. 15Na gerewgh an bys, na'n traow usi y'n bys. Mar kar nebonan an bys, nyns usi ynno kerensa Duw. 16Rag pup-tra eus y'n bys, lust an kig ha lust an lagasow ha goeth bewnans, nyns esons a'n Tas mes a'n bys. 17Ha'n bys a dremen, ha'y lust: mes neb a wra bodh Duw a vew bys vykken. An Antekrist 18A fleghigow, yth yw an diwettha eur: ha dell re glewsowgh y teu Antekrist, y'n eur ma yma ynwedh lies Antekrist; dredhi y hwodhon hy bos an diwettha eur. 19I eth yn-mes a-dhiworthyn, mes ahanan nyns esens; rag mar pens i ahanan, y pessens genen; mes i eth yn-mes, rag may fo diskwedhys nag esens i oll dhiworthyn ni. 20Mes hwi a'gas beus untyans gans an Sans, ha hwi a woer pup-tra. 21Ny skrifis dhywgh drefenn na wodhowgh an gwirder, mes drefenn hwi dh'y wodhvos, ha godhvos nag eus gow a-dhiworth an gwir. 22Piw yw an gowleveryas marnas neb a nagh Yesu dhe vos an Krist? Hemm yw an Antekrist neb a nagh an Tas ha'n Mab. 23Pub huni neb a nagh an Mab, na byth moy ny'n jeves an Tas; neb a aswonn an Mab a'n jeves an Tas ynwedh. 24Triges ynnowgh, an pyth re glewsowgh a-dhia'n dalleth. Mar trig ynnowgh an pyth re glewsowgh a-dhia'n dalleth, hwi ynwedh a wra triga y'n Mab hag y'n Tas. 25Ha hemm yw an ambos re ambosas dhyn, bewnans heb diwedh. 26An re ma re skrifis dhywgh a-dro dhe'n re a vynnsa agas toella. 27Mes an untyans re gevsowgh ganso a drig ynnowgh ha ny'gas beus edhomm a dhyskans gans denvyth: mes par dell wra an keth untyans ma agas dyski a-dro dhe bup-tra, ha'n untyans yw gwir, ha nyns yw gow, trigewgh ynno, dell re'gas dyskas. Fleghes Duw 28Ha lemmyn, fleghigow, trigewgh ynno rag ma'gan bo fydhyans ynno pan omdhiskwettho, ha ma na'gan bo meth a-ragdho orth y dhevedhyans. 29Mar kodhowgh y vos ewn, y hwodhowgh pubonan a wra ewnder dhe vos dineythys anodho.
