During Floralia, visitors can see over 500 varieties of spring flowers, among which more than 400 varieties of tulips.
Tijdens Floralia kunnen bezoekers meer dan 500 variëteiten lentebloemen zien, waaronder meer dan 400 variëteiten tulpen.

At first Mrs. M. Crucke, president of the Dutch Fuchsia Society as well as chairwoman of our Branch (on the right in the above picture) stood with two prize-cups in her hands without anybody to give them to, because the winners weren't present themselves, the brothers De Vries from Kollum, who had won the 1st prize with the official Floralia-plant 'Temptation'.

I never had this plant myself, but I sometimes come across its name in the parentage of other plants, like Jaspers Unbelievable, which should have become our Floralia-fuchsia for 2019, but this never happened.
Zelf heb ik deze plant nooit gehad, maar soms kom ik 'm tegen in de afstamming van andere planten, zoals Jaspers Unbelievable, die oorspronkelijk onze Floraliaplant voor 2019 zou worden, maar het helaas niet werd.

The 2nd and 3rd prizes in the free contest were rather big trailers, a 'Daisy Bell' of Wytske Couperus, winning the 2nd prize with this one, and she also was the 1st prize winner in the floralia contest; the 3rd was a 'Huntsman', of Mr. H. Altena from Suameer.

Today I completed a story about our yearly Floralia fuchsia contest, held on 14 September.
