In dit project zal ik 2 moleculaire systemen integreren: (i) telomeren, een van de best gekende mechanismen van moleculaire veroudering omdat ze de capaciteit van de cel om zichzelf te reproduceren reflecteert; (ii) "inflamming", een theorie die beschrijft dat inflammatie die in het vroege en volwassen leven ervoor zorgt dat slechte componenten in het lichaam geneutraliseerd worden, schadelijk zijn tijdens veroudering.
