The Lisbon agenda for growth and jobs will be supported by direct quantitative socioeconomic analysis — also in relation to the ‘better regulation’ principle — in a number of policy areas like macro-economic stability and growth, financial services, aspects of competitiveness, lifelong learning and the human capital dimension of the Lisbon strategy, agriculture, climate change, sustainable energy and transport systems.
