And in case you want to know, this is my latest Facebook status: Edgar Samar spent his last weekend in the Philippiness before the International Writing Program writing messages to people he'd miss--all of them friends, in one way or another, some past loves, others former students, or mentors, or dorm roommates, a few fellow writers, favorite cousins, childhood neighbors, grade school seatmates, high school barkada, JHNamers, & even those who began only as readers of his works, as if it was a real goodbye, as if the trip wasn't only for 3 months, as if he was not missing them, missed them, already, as if he could send all those letters for real. I did send some of those letters.

Two years ago, I was a freshman in a medical school with a good reputation here in Cebu. On the first day of my college life, I was pretty much a loner since most of my barkada took up another course in another prestigious school (this school has a lot of campuses hahaha) and some went to Manila. I knew some people but they were mostly batchmates and some classmates that I wasn’t really close with but I decided to go with them rather than to spend most of my time alone.
member ako ng basketball varsity sa school namin..at naging SK chairman ngaming lugar.moreno ako,5'4 ang height ko at fair ang katawan..pag nagbabasketball akolagi kong naririnig sa mga school mate kong babae,, "ang gwapo nya" sa mga bading naman "ang yummy nya" pero hindi madali anf ganitong sitwasyon. dahil naging malaki ang expectation skin ng tatay ko.
