Following the furore created by recent statements by the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, that Bulgaria was withdrawing from the Burgas-Alexandroupolis pipeline project, Nona Karadjova, the Bulgarian Minister for the environment, has explained that her ministry expects the Burgas-Alexandroupolis pipeline company to submit the environmental impact assessment by next September.

12 Asetuksen nro 22/97 33 §:n 6 momentissa täsmennetään, että yksinkertaistettua menettelyä sovelletaan, kunnes edellä mainitut tekniset normit on annettu kaikkiin niihin jätteiden hyödyntämistoimenpiteisiin, jotka on lueteltu tuotanto- tai palamisprosessissa syntyvien tuotanto- tai kulutussyklien jäännöstuotteiden hyödyntämisestä sekä jätehuollosta 8.7.1994 annetun asetuksen 2 ja 5 §:n soveltamisesta 5.9.1994 annetun ympäristöministeriön asetuksen (GURI nro 212, 10.9.1994, suppl. ord. nro 126) liitteessä 3, ja tuotanto- tai kulutussyklistä peräisin olevista jätteistä tuotettavan energian palamissyklissä tapahtuvaa hyödyntämistä koskevista teknisistä normeista 16.1.1995 annetun ympäristöministeriön asetuksen (GURI nro 24, 30.1.1995, suppl. ord.) liitteessä 1, niissä annettuja määräyksiä noudattaen.
12 Article 33(6) of Decree-Law No 22/97 states that, pending the adoption of those technical rules, the simplified procedures are to apply to any person carrying out the waste recovery operations listed respectively in Annex 3 to the Decree of the Minister for the Environment of 5 September 1994 (GURI No 212 of 10 September 1994, suppl. ord. No 126) applying Articles 2 and 5 of Decree-Law No 438 of 8 July 1994 laying down provisions for the recovery of industrial or household waste by production or combustion processes and for the disposal of waste, and in Annex 1 to the Decree of the Minister for the Environment of 16 January 1995 (GURI No 24 of 30 January 1995, suppl. ord.) laying down technical rules for energy production by combustion of industrial and household waste, and in accordance with the rules laid down therein.

The Environmental Protection Agency has decided that action regarding the Storå is deferred ‘as regards improving continuity at the Holstebro Vandkraftsø, so that this will be implemented during the second planning period (2015‐21) at the earliest, which allows time for clarification regarding the EU interpretation of the concept of “continuity”, including the framework for applying exemptions’(2).
