With a view to protecting minors’ rights, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the voluntary foundation “Assistance for the Development of Legal Infrastructure and Legal Education”, the international organization EveryChild and the supporting fund “Generation”, held seminars on “The law and me” for the personnel of agencies dealing with minors.

L’organisation exprime ses profondes préoccupations à l’égard du rapport du Rapporteur spécial des Nations Unies sur le droit à l’éducation, daté du 23 juillet 2010, qui, au lieu de cibler les besoins éducatifs légitimes des enfants à l’échelle planétaire, met plutôt l’accent sur la « question du droit fondamental à l’éducation sexuelle » pour les enfants, affirmant incorrectement que cette éducation sexuelle très controversée « est fondée sur la dignité humaine et sur le droit international des droits de l’homme ».
The organization expresses deep concerns with the report of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the right to education, dated 23 July 2010, for not focusing on the legitimate educational needs of the world’s children, but rather placing the report’s emphasis on the “issue of the human right to comprehensive sexual education” for children, asserting incorrectly that such very controversial sexuality education is “grounded in human dignity and in international human rights law”.

In order to gain further insights into the issue she sent questionnaires to States Members of the United Nations, indigenous peoples and civil society organizations and, in cooperation with the International Work Group for Indigenous Affairs, the Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact, the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment and the Indigenous Peoples’ International Centre for Policy Research and Education (Tebtebba), organized a series of regional and global consultations with indigenous peoples and experts in the area of international investment law and human rights.
