The kit proposes possible avenues of action to help enable these women to take full advantage of international forums and mechanisms available to them.

S’appuyant sur des partenariats stratégiques conclus entre le Réseau continental des femmes autochtones des Amériques, le Fonds autochtone, l’Organisation andine de la santé et le FNUAP, tant au niveau régional que national, dans l’État plurinational de Bolivie, en Équateur, au Guatemala et au Pérou, des initiatives ont été prises pour renforcer les capacités des collectifs de femmes autochtones à mener des actions de sensibilisation plaidant pour la mise à disposition de services de santé en matière de maternité et de procréation qui soient de qualité et culturellement adaptés.
On the basis of strategic partnerships between the Continental Network of Indigenous Women of the Americas, the Indigenous Fund, the Andean Health Organization and UNFPA at both the regional level and nationally in Bolivia (Plurinational State of), Ecuador, Guatemala and Peru, initiatives were focused on strengthening the capacity of indigenous women’s networks to conduct advocacy for the provision of quality and culturally acceptable maternal and reproductive health services.

En 20 ans, nous avons renforcé la collaboration tant au niveau continental qu’au niveau international, particulièrement grâce au Enlace Continental de Mujeres Indígenas de las Américas (Réseau continental des femmes autochtones des Amériques) et au Forum international des femmes autochtones, ce qui nous a permis de renforcer notre rôle dans des forums tels que l’Instance permanente sur les questions autochtones, les Groupes consultatifs de la société civile de ONU-Femmes, le Grupo Inter-Agencial de Género (Groupe de travail interinstitutionnel sur le genre) et diverses conférences des Nations Unies.
In those two decades, we strengthened our continental and international links, particularly through the formation of the Continental Network of Indigenous Women of the Americas and the International Indigenous Women's Forum, and through greater involvement in the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, the Civil Society Advisory Group of UN Women, the Inter-Agency Group on Gender and various conferences of the United Nations system.

La péruvienne Tarcila Rivera, Coordinatrice pour la région Sud du Réseau continental des femmes autochtones des Amériques, est activiste des droits des femmes autochtones depuis 20 ans.
Peruvian Tarcila Rivera, Southern Region Coordinator for the Continental Network of Indigenous Women of the Americas, has been an indigenous women’s activist for the last 20 years.

Du 16 au 19 novembre, le Wapikoni, en tant que membre du réseau international de création audiovisuelle autochtone (RICAA) participait à la septième rencontre des femmes autochtones des Amériques organisée par Chirapaq (le centre pour les cultures autochtones du Pérou) et le réseau continental des femmes autochtones des Amériques.
From November 16 to 19, the Wapikoni, as a member of the International Network of Aboriginal Audiovisual Creation (INAAC) participated in the seventh Meeting of Indigenous Women of the Americas organized by Chirapaq (the Centre for Indigenous Cultures of Peru) and the Continental Network of Indigenous Women of the Americas.

En tant que fondatrice de Chirapaq, Tarcila propose et développe des actions contribuant à la réaffirmation culturelle, à l’éducation interculturelle, à l’autonomisation des femmes autochtones, qui ont débouché sur la création de l’Atelier permanent des femmes autochtones andines et amazoniennes du Pérou, du FIMI (Forum international des femmes autochtones) et d’ENLACE (Réseau continental des femmes autochtones des Amériques).
As a founder of Chirapaq, Tarcila devises and develops actions that contribute to cultural reaffirmation, intercultural education, the empowerment of indigenous women and food security to eradicate malnutrition, always from an indigenous perspective. More specifically, her contributions to the empowerment of indigenous women have resulted in the creation of the Permanent Workshop of Andean and Amazonian Indigenous Women of Peru, the International Indigenous Women’s Forum (known as FIMI) and the Continental Network of Indigenous Women of the Americas.
