Description: Viande provenant du dépeçage de carcasses de bovins de la race Cachena inscrits au registre zootechnique de la race bovine Cachena et élevés et abattus dans la zone géographique concernée.
Description: Meat obtained from the cutting of carcasses of bovine animals of the "Cachena" breed, registered in the herdbook for that breed and reared and slaughtered in the geographical area concerned.

(1) In accordance with Article 5 of Regulation (EEC) No 2081/92, Portugal has sent the Commission two applications for registration of the names "Carne da Charneca" and "Carne Cachena da Peneda" as a designation of origin, France has sent the Commission an application for registration of the name "Piment d'Espelette" or "Piment d'Espelette - Ezpeletako Biperra" as a designation of origin and Germany has sent the Commission an application for registration of the name "Oberpfälzer Karpfen" as a geographical indication.

Cet agrément ne peut être délivré qu'aux exploitations situées à l'intérieur de la zone géographique de production, possédant des animaux inscrits au registre zootechnique de la race Cachena, tenant à jour des registres où figurent les conditions de production, l'identification officielle, les documents de transport et de circulation, l'état du cheptel et les fiches sanitaires individuelles et se soumettant au régime de contrôle et de certification prévu.
Approval is given only if the holding satisfies each of the following requirements: it must be located in the geographical area of production; its animals must be entered in the herdbook of the Cachena breed; it must keep up-to-date records covering production, official identification, transport and movement, the herd register and the individual animal health certificate; and it must submit to the control and certification arrangements applicable.
