On April 1st 1937, the towns and villages of Funabashi, Katsushika, Yasakae, Hoden, and Tsukada merged to become the modern Funbashi City. It has a good balance of manufacturying, business, residential, and agricultural areas, and is close to Tokyo and Narita Airport. There are many convenient train lines that run through the city connecting it to Tokyo in under 30 minutes, which makes Funabashi a convenitent bedroom down.
