During this stage the riders will go find the coast at the north side of Ireland, via Antrim and Ballymena and they get on the coast close to Portrush from where they will follow the coast eastwards down to Ballycastle where they'll go a little bit more landinwards, looking for the first climb of this Tour of Italy 2014, Cushendall Road at the exit of Ballypatrick Forest and from there they'll again follow the coast southwards, down to Whitehead where they'll turn west and climb the second difficulty of the day, in Knocknagulliagh.
