Op 20 augustus 2015 hebben de Griekse autoriteiten de Commissie in kennis gesteld van twee uitbraken van nodulaire dermatose in rundveebedrijven met ongeveer 200 dieren in Feres, in de Griekse regionale eenheid Evros.

Decree No 2041901/16.5.1989 and the subsequent Decrees in the above list provide for aid in departments other than Rhodope, Evros and Xanthi. At this stage, it is not possible to ascertain whether the system of aid they introduce is an extension of that applied in the above three departments or is a separate system. Whatever the case, it is not possible to ascertain, on the basis of the information available, whether the rules on state aid (rules on regional aid or the de minimis rule) have been followed.

Bij Ministerieel Besluit nr. 2003341/683/0025 van 17 februari 1994 werd een garantie van de Griekse staat ten bedrage van in totaal 100 000 000 drachme (293 470 EUR) per bedrijf verleend voor leningen die op of na 1 april 1993 voor bedrijfskapitaal waren toegekend aan ambachtelijke en industriële bedrijven, mijnbouwondernemingen, industriële veehouderijen, ondernemingen van het hotelwezen en scheepvaartmaatschappijen die, ongeacht hun bedrijfszetel, in de nomoi Xanthi, Rodopi en Evros waren gevestigd, alsmede een garantie van de Griekse staat voor schulden (kapitaal en rente) die voortvloeiden uit de herschikking, overeenkomstig de bepalingen en voorwaarden van Gezamenlijk Besluit nr. 1648/G.G.54/B.22 van 13 januari 1994, van de per 31 december 1993 uitstaande schulden uit oudere leningen.

The Commission has also made it clear to the Greek authorities that urgent measures must be taken to alleviate the reception situation at Evros, including measures which will be supported by funding from the European Refugee and External Borders Funds.

In een recent antwoord op een vraag van mijn kant (E-005225/2011) heeft de Commissie aangegeven dat zij tot eind juli van Griekenland geen verzoek om steun in verband met de bouw van nieuwe, permanente opvangcentra voor illegale immigranten had ontvangen en dat Griekenland als tijdelijke oplossing voor de aanpak van de bestaande dringende behoeften op dit gebied had voorgesteld de kosten voor het huren en renoveren van een voormalig fabrieksgebouw in het Evros-gebied, dat dienst zal doen als tijdelijk opvangcentrum, te cofinancieren, een voorstel dat destijds door de Commissie werd onderzocht.
In its answer to Written Question E‐005225/2011, the Commission said that, by the end of July, it had not received any request from Greece to fund the construction of new permanent detention centres for illegal immigrants, but that Greece had proposed, as a temporary solution to address the urgent needs in this area, an action co-financing the rental and refurbishment costs of a former factory to be used as a temporary detention facility in the Evros region, a proposal which the Commission was considering.

De Evros is hier breder, maar de stroming is toch nog sterk.
