De Oostenrijkse wet Aangezien in artikel 9, onder a), van het Protocol verwezen wordt naar de nationale regels inzake immuniteit, is artikel 57 van de Oostenrijkse grondwet relevant. Austrian Law Given that Article 9(a) of the Protocol refers to national law on immunities, it is necessary to refer to the Austrian Constitution, Article 57 of which provides as follows: Article 57 (1) The members of the National Council may never be made responsible for votes cast in the exercise of their function and only by the National Council on the grounds of oral or written utterances made in the course of their function.

In Zwitserland heeft de Nationalrat op 19 juni 2002 tegen de ratificatie gestemd, en de Ständerat heeft de overeenkomst op 12 december 2002 terugverwezen naar de vervoerscommissie.
In Switzerland, the Nationalrat (National Council) voted against ratification on 19 June 2002, while the Ständerat (Council of States) sent the text back to the transport commission on 12 December 2002.

(6) De immuniteit van de leden van de Nationalrat komt te vervallen op de dag waarop de nieuwgekozen Nationalrat bijeenkomt; voor organen die langer in functie blijven vervalt de immuniteit wanneer de functie beëindigd wordt.
