Door de Commissie voorgestelde actie: Wat het internationale niveau betreft, stelt de Commissie voor dat de EU een belangrijke bijdrage levert aan de multilaterale inspanningen die met name binnen de FAO worden geleverd om een mondiaal register van vissersvaartuigen en een internationaal netwerk voor activiteiten op het gebied van toezicht, inspectie en bewaking op te zetten en om wederzijdse bijstandsverlening ter bestrijding van IOO-visserij in internationaal verband, dus samen met derde landen, te bevorderen.
