Vervolgens is bij besluit nr. 3/V van het regiobestuur voor milieubescherming van 18 februari 2004 de jacht volgens de afwijkende regeling geopend op de Sardijnse mus (Passer hispaniolensis), de ringmus (Passer montanus), de spreeuw (Sturnis vulgaris), de zanglijster (Turdus philomelos) en de koperwiek (Turdus iliacus) en wel op de dagen 21, 22, 26 en 29 februari 2004, waarbij 6 000 000 vogels gevangen mogen worden door ongeveer 50 000 Sardijnse jagers.
