Provides detailed information about the culture and life of the Bashkirs. Issues of education, science, literature, art are covered. The biographical articles present the personified history of Bashkortostan. Information about eastern rulers and Russian tsars, domestic and foreign political figures, who left a noticeable mark in the history of Bashkortostan, is given; chiefs of the Bashkir cantons; the leaders of major popular uprisings; active participants in the revolutionary movement, the Civil and the Great Patriotic Wars; heads of the republic, organizers of production, education and health care; famous figures of science, literature and art; famous athletes and coaches; religious figures, etc. The publication also includes articles about well-known noble families in the region, dynasties of entrepreneurs, mining breeders, art workers, representatives of the Bashkir diaspora and natives of Bashkortostan who have received recognition outside of it.
