Under these Regulations, “corporal punishment” means “punishment by striking a pupil on his hand or on his normally clothed buttocks with a light, flexible stick but excludes striking a child with any other instrument or on any other part of the body.”

En virtud de este Reglamento, por "castigo físico" se entiende el "castigo impartido mediante la aplicación a un alumno de un azote en la mano, o en las nalgas cubiertas con su ropa normal, con un palo ligero y flexible, quedando excluidos los golpes aplicados al niño con cualquier otro instrumento o en cualquier otra parte del cuerpo".

En vertu de ce règlement, on entend par châtiments corporels «le fait de frapper un élève sur la main ou sur le fessier normalement vêtu, à l’aide d’une baguette légère et flexible, ce qui exclut le fait de frapper un enfant à l’aide de tout autre instrument ou sur toute autre partie du corps.»
