The person who creatively contributed to cinematographic works as a whole by being in charge of the creation, directing, direction, filming, art, etc. is attributed authorship (Article 16 of the Copyright Law). * A special rule applies with regard to the ownership of copyrights to cinematographic works. Ownership belongs to "producer of a cinematographic work" (i.e. the person who takes the initiative and the responsibility for the making of the cinematographic work), when the author agreed to participate in the creation of the cinematographic work (Article 29(1) of the Copyright Law).

제작, 감독, 연출, 촬영, 미술 등을 담당하여 그 영화 저작물의 전체적 형성에 창작적으로 기여한 자가 저작자가 됩니다(법 제16조). ※영화 저작물의 저작권의 귀속에 대해서는 특별한 규정이 있으며 저작자가 영화 제작자(영화 저작물의 제작에 발의와 책임을 갖는 자)에 대해 당해 영화 저작물의 제작에 참가하는 것을 약속한 경우에는 그 영화 제작자에게 귀속한다고 되어 있습니다(법 제29조 제1항).
