The Committee urges the State party to take further steps to address environmental hazards that affect the health of children living in close proximity to the Aral Sea and Semipalatinsk, and to strengthen its efforts to address environmental issues concerning waste disposal and the use of pollutants and chemicals.

El Comité insta al Estado parte a adoptar nuevas medidas para hacer frente a los riesgos ambientales que afectan a la salud de los niños que viven en las proximidades del mar de Aral y Semipalatinsk, y a intensificar sus esfuerzos para luchar contra los problemas ambientales relativos a la eliminación de desechos y la utilización de contaminantes y productos químicos.
