4. Afgiftsfritagelsen sigter direkte på biobrændstof, dvs. raps- og solsikkeolieestere (der hører til diester-gruppen), ren ethylalkohol, der indgår i superbenzin, i blyfri superbenzin og i almindelig benzin, samt ren ethylalkohol i form af derivater (herunder ethyl-tert-butylether, benævnt ETBE), der indgår i blyfri superbenzin og i almindelig benzin (der hører til bioethanol-gruppen).
