Signing a Boleto differs from signing the final deed, as it will not be registered in the real estate national registry. The Boleto represents an initial stage of commitment between the buying and selling parties and necessitates that the seller give the title deed to the buyer and that the buyer pay the owed money to the seller. The Boleto grants the buyer many rights, including the ability for the buyer to use, rent or sell the property. However, the title deed must be signed before a notary to give full rights and ownership to the buyer.

El boleto es un documento previo a la escritura (no obligatorio) que compromete a ambas partes. Obliga al vendedor a escriturar la propiedad a favor del comprador, y obliga al comprador a pagar la suma adeudada al vendedor. El boleto le da al comprador los derechos sobre la propiedad y es suficientemente valido como para alquilar, vender o utilizar la propiedad hasta que la escritura de dominio final este lista, y firmada delante de un escribano publico para dar los derechos completos al comprador del departamento.
