In summary, it is proposed that the current Controlled Products Regulations and the Ingredient Disclosure List be repealed, and new regulations, under the title Hazardous Products Regulations, be made to enable Canada to apply the new globally recognized standard for classifying and communicating hazards to its workplace hazardous chemicals system and to do so in alignment with the approach adopted in the United States in its Hazard Communications Standard as amended on March 26, 2012.

En résumé, il est proposé d’abroger l’actuel Règlement sur les produits contrôlés et la Liste de divulgation des ingrédients et d’adopter un nouveau règlement, intitulé Règlement sur les produits dangereux, pour permettre au Canada d’appliquer la nouvelle norme reconnue à l’échelle mondiale pour la classification et la communication des dangers dans le cadre de son système de gestion des produits chimiques utilisés au travail, et de le faire conformément à l’approche adoptée par les États-Unis pour sa norme de communication des dangers (Hazard Communications Standard), telle que modifiée le 26 mars 2012.
