To convene a resumed session of the Committee for three days, from 5 to 7 September 2001, because the Committee had requested the Secretary-General to submit to it a final report on the results of the pilot project on the development of an international radio broadcasting capacity for the United Nations by August 2001, and had expressed its intention to take a final decision on the mandate and allocation of the necessary resources for the establishment of a permanent international radio broadcasting capacity for the United Nations during the main part of the fifty-sixth session of the General Assembly.

Celebrar la continuación del período de sesiones del Comité, durante tres días, del 5 al 7 de septiembre de 2001, debido a que el Comité pidió al Secretario General que presentara al Comité de Información un informe final sobre los resultados del proyecto experimental relativo al desarrollo de la capacidad de radiodifusión internacional de las Naciones Unidas para agosto de 2001 y expresó su propósito de adoptar una decisión definitiva acerca del mandato y la asignación de recursos necesarios para el establecimiento de una capacidad permanente de las Naciones Unidas para la radiodifusión internacional durante la parte principal del quincuagésimo sexto período de sesiones de la Asamblea General.
