Since today's stage contained a climb of the 3rd category, the polka dot jersey was handed out right from this first stage and since Lars Boom already had the best time on the top of that climb, he does leads all classifications and the official ceremony was thus only about him (the other riders already left for their hotel!) where he got the medal of the stage winner, the yellow jersey, the green jersey, the polka dot jersey and the white jersey. Dan is het wachten op de voorlaatste renner om de nummer 2 van deze tijdrit te kennen: Aangezien het parcours een bergje van de 3de categorie bevatte, werd de bolletjestrui meteen na de eerste etappe al toegekend en aangezien Lars Boom bovenop ook de beste tijd had, staat hij dus aan kop van alle klassementen en de prijsuitreiking ging dan ook alleen maar om hem (de andere renners waren al Gert Steegmans, viel in een afdaling.
