Nobody works, with the exception of the bars and restaurants. What’s more, the 27th of February is Teachers’ Day. Therefore, I had a weekend longer than normal – a super long weekend! Because we didn’t have school the 27th and 28th, the school put on a day of shows to celebrate Andalucía on the 26th. Each class did an Andaluz work in front of the parents, who were invited to spend the day at the school. All the works were very cute, but my favorite was the reproduction of the song “Don Señor Gato” by the two third grade classes. In addition to learning many things, Día de Andalucía showed me that there are 4 year-old children who can dance better than I. How embarrassing.

Día de Andalucía es el 28 de febrero, y en este día celebramos todas las cosas Andaluces. Nadie trabaja, con la excepción de los bares y restaurantes. Qué más, el 27 de febrero es el día de los profesores. Por tanto, tuve un fin de semana más largo que normal – ¡un gran puente! Porque no tuvimos escuela el 27 y 28, el colegio hizo un día de espectáculos para celebrar Andalucía en el 26. Cada clase hizo una obra andaluz enfrente de los padres, que fueron invitados gastar el día en la escuela. Todas las obras fueron muy lindas, pero mi favorita fue la reproducción de la canción Don Señor Gato por las dos clases de grado tercero. En adicción aprender muchas cosas, el Día de Andalucía me muestra que hay niños de cuatro años que bailen mejor que yo. Que vergüenza. Niños de tres años que ya saben cómo bailar ¡No sería una fiesta Andaluz sin flamenco!
