In diesen Gebieten stellt der Olivenanbau zusammen mit dem Weinbau die einzige Baumkultur dar; er besetzt hier die am schlechtesten zu nutzenden Flächen mit starkem Gefälle und wird damit zu einem wichtigen landschaftlichen Strukturelement.
