The State Government has liberally supported the STUS with financial assistance in the form of Subsidies, Share Capital Assistance, Loans and Advances, etc. Since May 2011, this Government has provided a total assistance of Rs.6,281 crores which includes Rs.2,276 crores as Student Concession Subsidy, Rs.1,800 crores as Diesel Subsidy, Rs.1,190 crores as Share Capital Assistance, Rs.1,015 crores as Loans and Advances including short term loans.

2011 ஆம் ஆண்டு மே மாதத்திலிருந்து இதுவரை, மாணவ மாணவியர் பயணக் கட்டண மானியமாக 2,276 கோடி ரூபாயும், டீசல் மானியமாக 1,800 கோடி ரூபாயும், பங்கு மூலதன உதவியாக 1,190 கோடி ரூபாயும், கடனுதவியாக 1,015 கோடி ரூபாயும், ஆகமொத்தம் 6,281 கோடி ரூபாயை நிதியுதவியாக இந்த அரசு வழங்கியுள்ளது.
