Προς διεκπεραίωση αυτής της αποστολής τους οι Ανεξάρτητες Αρχές έχουν προικισθεί με εγγυήσεις πλήρους ανεξαρτησίας απέναντι στην εκτελεστική εξουσία και διακρίνονται από την εξειδίκευση, την εμπειρία και την τεχνοκρατική γνώση των προσώπων μελών που τις απαρτίζουν σε σχέση με το συγκεκριμένο τομέα που εποπτεύουν. Οι στόχοι που είχαν τεθεί με τη δημιουργία κάθε μιας Ανεξάρτητης Αρχής ξεχωριστά στην Ελλάδα, εκ των πραγμάτων φάνταζαν και φαντάζουν πολύ δύσκολοι να επιτευχθούν. Ο Ελληνικός λαός που συνήθως δεν πείθεται εύκολα από τις δημόσιες αρχές, κυρίως λόγω της κακής εμπειρίας του παρελθόντος, δείχνει σε μερικές από αυτές ανοχή, υπομονή και μερικές της περιβάλλει με εμπιστοσύνη για την υπεράσπιση των ατομικών και κοινωνικών δικαιωμάτων του από τη «κακοδιοίκηση» του κράτους.

The transaction of this mission, the Independent Authorities have been dowered with guarantees of complete independence toward the executive power. They are distinguished by the specialisation, the experience and the technocratic knowledge of persons of members that compose in combination the particular sector oversees. The objectives that had been placed with the creation of every Independent Authority separately in Greece, realistically they were and are difficult to achieve. The Greek population that is usually not convinced easily by the public authorities, mainly because the bad experience of the past, shows in certain of them tolerance, patience and some surrounds them with confidence, for the defence of individual and social rights from the "misconduct of' state.
