ويتمثل الهدف على الأجل الطويل في تعزيز المؤسسات المشتركة للانتقال السلس للسلع ورأس المال بين الدول الأعضاء وتيسير اندماجها التدريجي في الاقتصاد العالمي ومشاركتها النشطة والمجدية في عملية العولمة.

The longer-term objective is the promotion of common institutions for the smooth movement of goods and capital among ECO member States and the facilitation of their gradual integration into the world economy and of their active and meaningful participation in the globalization process.
