In September 2007, Southampton University published a study showing that the food colours Tartrazin (E102), Quinolingul (E104), Sunset Yellow (E110), Azorubin (E122), Ponceau 4R (E124) and Allura Red (E129) are harmful to health in that they make children hyperactive and increase the risk of learning difficulties and concentration problems in children.
