In Ciria’s Psicopompos there is no indiscriminate aggression as a whole against the advertising icon, but simply manipulation which highlights one figure and blots out another, creating sudden ellipses and juxtapositions to subtly reinterpret the images, playing the old game of détournement or making the advertisement say something completely different − on occasions the exact opposite − from what it wished to say in the first place.

En los Psicopompos no se verifica una agresión indiscriminada, en bloque, contra el icono publicitario, sino una manipulación que al destacar una figura y ocultar otra, al crear elipsis y yuxtaposiciones súbitas, reinterpreta sutilmente las imágenes, jugando a la vieja estrategia del détournement que consiste en hacer decir a la publicidad algo muy distinto −a veces precisamente lo contrario− de lo que ella pretendía decir.
