ওহে মানবগোষ্ঠী! তোমরা যদি পুনরুত্থান সন্বন্ধে সন্দেহের মধ্যে থাক, তাহলে আমরা তো তোমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছি মাটি থেকে, তারপর রক্তপিন্ড থেকে তারপর মাংসের তাল থেকে -- গঠনে সুসমঞ্জস ও সামঞ্জস্যবিহীন, যেন আমরা তোমাদের জন্য সুস্পষ্ট করতে পারি। আর যাকে আমরা ইচ্ছা করি তাকে মাতৃগর্ভে থাকতে দিই নির্দিষ্ট কাল পর্যন্ত, তারপর তোমাদের বের ক’রে আনি শিশুরূপে, তারপর যেন তোমরা তোমাদের পূর্ণজীবনে পৌঁছুতে পার। আর তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ মৃত্যুমুখে পতিত হয় আর তোমাদের মধ্যে কাউকে আনা হয় জীবনের অধমতম দশায় যার ফলে জ্ঞানলাভের পরে সে কিছুই না-জানা হয়। আর তুমি পৃথিবীকে দেখতে পাচ্ছ অনুর্বর, তারপর যখন আমরা তাতে বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করি, তখন তা স্পন্দিত হয় ও ফোলে ওঠে, আর উৎপন্ন করে হরেক রকমের সুন্দর শাকসবজি।

We have created you (i.e. Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge i.e. offspring of Adam), then from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood) then from a little lump of flesh, some formed and some unformed (miscarriage), that We may make (it) clear to you (i.e. to show you Our Power and Ability to do what We will). And We cause whom We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed term, then We bring you out as infants, then (give you growth) that you may reach your age of full strength.
