이러한 구성에 의하면, 별도의 교좌장치 없이 거더를 연속적으로 시공할 수 있으므로 공사비를 절감할 수 있고, 코핑과 거더가 일체화되어 거동하므로 구조적으로 효율적이며, 코핑에 홈을 형성하여 거더를 홈에 끼워 거치하므로 코핑 상측이 과다하게 노출되지 않아서 외관이 미려하고, 거더와 코핑이 일체화될 수 있도록 횡방향(코핑의 길이방향) 강선으로 긴장되어 건식 접합되므로, 교각(지점)부 단면의 강성이 증가하여 부모멘트에 대한 저항력이 크고 현장 작업 없이 거더와 코핑이 일체화되므로 구조적으로 효율적일 뿐만 아니라 공사기간 단축의 효과가 있다.
