It is intended to provide a composition containing an IP3 receptor binding protein (IRBIT), a nucleic acid controlling the expression/translation of the IRBIT or an antibody against the IRBIT which aims at controlling at least one intracellular biological function selected from among: (1) synthesis of a protein; (2) metabolism of an inositol phospholipid; and (3)the intracellular pH value.
