Once here I decided to push to reach Czarny Staw and crossed the frozen lake down the middle and soon found how ardeous reaching the top would be: Snow up to my knees, sometimes to my waist, and a considerable steepness that forced me to scramble most of the way up.

Une fois arrivé ici, j’ai décidé de pousser pour atteindre Czarny Staw et de traverser le lac gelé au milieu. J’ai vite constaté à quel point atteindre ce sommet était ardu: de la neige jusqu’à mes genoux, parfois jusqu’à ma taille, et une raideur considérable qui m’avait obligé à grimper de la montée.
