وفي إطار الهدف العام المتمثل في بناء القدرات، يتابع المشروع الأهداف التالية: وضع نظام للرصد وتحليل الفقر على الصعيد الوطني؛ وضع نظام لرصد وتحليل الفقر على الصعيد الإقليمي؛ إعداد دراسة وطنية للمنظور البعيد المدى بغية تحسين معالجة المسائل الأوسع مع مراعاة الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية ومساعدة وزارات منتقاة ناشطة في العملية على بناء قدراتها.

Within the overall goal of capacity-building, the project pursues the following objectives: develop a poverty monitoring and analysis system at the national level; develop a poverty monitoring and analysis system at the regional level; prepare a national long-term perspective study, in order to better tackle broader issues that take into account the Millennium development goals; and assist selected ministries involved in the process to build their own capacities.

Teniendo en cuenta este objetivo general, con ese proyecto se intentan lograr los objetivos siguientes: elaborar un sistema para vigilar y analizar la situación de pobreza en el plano nacional; elaborar un sistema para vigilar y analizar la situación de pobreza en el plano regional; preparar un estudio prospectivo nacional a largo plazo para afrontar con mayor eficacia los problemas relacionados con los objetivos de desarrollo del Milenio; y ayudar a los ministerios que participan en el proceso a fomentar su capacidad.

Ce projet a les objectifs suivants : mettre en place un système de suivi et d’analyse de la pauvreté aux niveaux national et régional; réaliser une étude des perspectives à long terme afin d’aborder de façon plus efficace des questions de portée plus vaste pour lesquelles il convient de tenir compte des OMD; et aider certains ministères concernés à renforcer leurs propres capacités.
