The method for manufacturing a curved display panel using a lower substrate and an upper substrate made of glass and opposite each other, and a liquid crystal layer formed between the lower substrate and the upper substrate, comprises: a step of cutting out portions of outer surfaces of the lower substrate and the upper substrate such that the thicknesses of the substrates are reduced to a preset level; and a step of bending the cut lower substrate and the cut upper substrate into a desired curved shape, and forming transparent polymer layers, having shapes identical to the desired curved shape, onto outer surfaces of the substrates, respectively, or attaching transparent substrates, which are prefabricated into shapes identical to the desired curved shape, onto outer surfaces of the substrates, respectively.

디스플레이 패널 제조 방법은 유리로 형성되며 서로 마주하는 하부 기판과 상부 기판, 그리고 상기 하부 기판과 상기 상부 기판 사이에 형성되는 액정층을 포함하는 평면 형태의 액정 패널을 이용하여 곡면 형태의 디스플레이 패널을 제조하는 방법이며, 상기 하부 기판과 상기 상부 기판이 미리 설정된 두께로 감소하도록 외측 일부를 깎아내는 단계, 그리고 상기 깎아진 하부 기판과 상부 기판을 상기 원하는 곡면 형태로 휜 후에 바깥 면에 상기 원하는 곡면 형태와 동일한 형태로 투명 고분자층을 각각 형성하거나 상기 원하는 곡면 형태와 동일한 형태로 미리 제조된 투명 기판을 각각 접착하는 단계를 포함한다.
