Drawing from the later Wittgenstein, author of the Philosophical Investigations, according to which words have palpable effects, the goal of this article is to present and interrogate the Mexican cultural category of the naco, with the related terms naquez and naquisa. The meaning of this cluster of terms is more or less equivalent to the French vernacular plouc.

Tomando en cuenta la idea del segundo Wittgenstein, autor de las Investigaciones, según la cual las palabras surten efectos palpables, este artículo tiene por objetivo presentar e indagar de cerca la categoría cultural mexicana de lo naco (naquez o naquisa, cuyo significado equivale aproximadamente al concepto vernáculo francés de « plouc »), así como reflexionar sobre las consecuencias sociológicas de los usos de la misma.
