A partir del 1947 se empezó a otorgar al diestro triunfador de la Feria del Señor de los Milagros el preciado trofeo denominado "Escapulario de Oro" (es una imagen tallada en alto y bajo relieve en oro brillante de 18 Quilates), distinción que fue instituida por el empresario y ganadero Fernando Graña Elizalde a propuesta de los señores Manuel Solari, Alejandro Graña, José Antonio Roca Rey, Antonio Graña y Enrique Ego Aguirre Poggi.
