Mr President, we are, in these first few months of 2010, witnessing an extraordinarily strong dynamic in the European Union, in the midst of the most serious economic crisis we have known for eighty years. At the same time, we are implementing a new treaty, the Treaty of Lisbon, getting new institutions off the ground, and carrying out a very broad reordering of the regulation of our economic systems.

Señor Presidente, estamos asistiendo en estos meses de comienzos del 2010 a una dinámica extraordinariamente fuerte en la Unión Europea, en medio de la crisis económica más grave que conocemos desde hace ochenta años y, al mismo tiempo, estamos poniendo en marcha un nuevo tratado, el Tratado de Lisboa, poniendo en marcha unas nuevas instituciones y haciendo una extensísima reordenación de la regulación de nuestros sistemas económicos.
