Ein Kappenteil eines Filzschreibers, dessen Außenseite zumindest bereichsweise nach außen gewölbt (22) ausgebildet ist, zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß der Gesamtschwerpunkt (26) von Kappenteil (14) und Filzschreiber (10, 12) derart im Bereich des Kappenteils (14) vorhanden ist, daß die Schreibspitze (18) des mit dem Kappenteil (14) auf einer Auflage (31) aufliegenden Filzschreibers in Richtung zur Auflage (31) gerichtet ist und seine der Auflage (31) zugewandte Außenseite zumindest einen Bereich mit geringerer Außenwölbung aufweist als der in dem dazu benachbarten Oberflächenbereich vorhandene Bereich oder zumindest einen Bereich mit planer (28) und/oder nach innen gewölbter (36) Oberfläche besitzt.
