Provided is an image treating device characterized by having an image treating unit for performing a frequency decomposition of a medical image of a bone portion by a binary wavelet transformation, thereby to weight the frequency component of a level corresponding to a trabecular bone, for reconstructing the image subsequently to create (at Step S2) an emphasizing image having the trabecular bone emphasized, and for calculating (at Steps S3 and S4) the featuring quantities of the trabecular bone by using the emphasizing image.
