In the formulae, A is phosphorus or arsenic; R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each independently a substituted pyridyl group that has electron-withdrawing groups, which may be different from each other, at both positions meta to A and that has hydrogen atoms at both positions ortho to A; and Y is a divalent group derived either from an aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic compound which has 2 to 20 carbon atoms and which may be substituted or contain a heteroatom, or from ferrocene.
