The study report reveals that over six different date-expired reagent kits, like creatinine reagent kit, alkaline phosphatase kit, urea reagent kit, and Hepatitis B vaccines were found in the lab. The pathologist working in the lab was trainee Bimala Maharjan who had only attended a short-term informal course. As per the findings, NPHL recommended MoHP to close down Sudrashan Clinic Pathology Lab but the Ministry didn’t respond. Previously, Bichari Rai had also filed a complaint against the same clinic and ‘health professional’ Maharjan at Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC), the sole government entity to regulate health professionals. But NHPC officials too didn’t respond.

भारतीय नागरिक सुप्रिथ मणिपाल पनि नेपाल मेडिकल काउन्सिलको अनुमति बिनै नेपालमा चिकित्सकीय अभ्यास गरिरहेका छन् । पिपल्स डेन्टल कलेजमा अर्थोडोन्टिक्सको रुपमा काम गर्नका लागि डा. सुप्रिथ मणिपालले नेपाल मेडिकल काउन्सिलबाट १ वर्षको अनुमति पाएका थिए, तर नवीकरण नै नगरी ७ वर्ष बिताईदिए । उनी नयाँ बानेश्वरको विनायक डेण्टल क्लिनिकमा काम गर्छन् । २०७१ कात्तिक २३ गते बिनायक क्लिनिक पुग्दा उनी कार्यरत अवस्थामा भेटिए । मेडिकल काउन्सिल ऐनमा ‘विदेशी नागरिक चिकित्सकको नाम दर्ता बढीमा एक वर्षको लागि मात्र हुने व्यवस्था छ । काउन्सिलले आवश्यक देखेमा बढीमा अर्को एक वर्षसम्मका लागि दर्ता नविकरण गर्न सक्छ ।
