A heat-resistant fabric comprising heat-resistant fibers, characterized in that a contact between fibers constituting the fabric is fixed by means of an inorganic binder; and a method for producing the heat-resistant fabric which comprises impregnating a fabric comprising heat-resistant fibers with an aqueous solution of sodium silicate, drying the impregnated fabric in an atmosphere containing carbon dioxide, to thereby fix and secure a contact between fibers constituting the fabric by silicon oxide.

Le procédé de fabrication de ce tissu résistant à la chaleur consiste à imprégner un tissu comprenant des fibres résistant à la chaleur d'une solution aqueuse de silicate de sodium, sécher le tissu imprégner dans une atmosphère contenant du dioxyde de carbone, ce qui permet de rendre définitive et de garantir une liaison entre les fibres formant le tissu par l'oxyde de silicium.
