বাংলাদেশ প্রত্নতত্ত্ব বিভাগের হারুনুর রশীদ ১৯৭৪ সালে এ এলাকাটি পরিদর্শন করেন এবং দেখতে পান যে, সমগ্র এলাকা, বিশেষকরে হলুদ বিহার গ্রামের দক্ষিণপূর্ব দিকে এক বিশাল পুরানো দিঘির চারপাশে অসংখ্য নিচু টিবি ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে রয়েছে। এ ঢিবিগুলির অধিকাংশকেই সমান করা হয়েছে এবং চাষাবাদের আওতায় আনা হয়েছে।

Harunur Rashid of the Bangladesh Department of Archaeology inspected this site in 1974 and found that the whole area, especially the part of it around a large old tank to the southeast of Halud Vihara village was strewn with countless low mounds most of which had been leveled and brought under the plough.
