Auf dem Gipfel in Cannes sprachen die Oberhäupter der 20 Staaten ihre Entschlossenheit aus, gemeinsam den negativen Tendenzen in der Weltwirtschaft entgegenzuwirken, sie billigten den auf dem EU-Gipfel (Oktober, Brüssel) verabschiedeten Plan von Maßnahmen zur Überwindung der Finanz- und Schuldkrise in der Eurozone und verankerten in der Abschlußerklärung die Absicht, dem Internationalen Währungsfonds zusätzliche Ressourcen zur Unterstützung der europäischen Wirtschaft bereitzustellen.

At the summit in Cannes, the leaders of the G20 expressed their determination to work together to counter the negative trends in the global economy, approved the comprehensive plan of anti-crisis measures to overcome the financial and debt crisis in the eurozone, adopted at the EU summit (Brussels, October), and recorded in their final declaration an intent to provide the IMF with additional resources to support the European economy.

En la Cumbre en Cannes los líderes del G-20 expresaron su decisión para contrarrestar en común las tendencias negativas en la economía mundial, aprobaron el Plan Integral de medidas para superar la crisis financiera y de deuda en la eurozona, adoptado en la Cumbre de la UE (octubre, Bruselas) y fijaron en la Declaración Final la intención de conceder al FMI recursos adicionales para mantener la economía europea.

Состоялись три встречи глав государств, в том числе государственный визит Президента Российской Федерации в КНР, 17-я регулярная встреча глав правительств, визит Председателя Совета Федерации Федерального Собрания Российской Федерации в Китай, семь встреч на уровне вице-премьеров, 7-ой раунд консультаций по стратегической безопасности, четыре встречи министров иностранных дел, многочисленные контакты по линии различных министерств и ведомств. Развивалось многоплановое экономическое сотрудничество.
