وواصلت مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان تشجيع التعاون فيما بين الوكالات من خلال مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للتجارة والتنمية (الأونكتاد)، ومنظمة العمل الدولية، ضمن إطار العقد الدولي للسكان الأصليين في العالم، ومن خلال مبادرات من قبيل حلقة العمل المعنية بالسكان الأصليين وشركات القطاع الخاص العاملة في مجالات الموارد الطبيعية والطاقة والتعدين وحقوق الإنسان، المعقودة في جنيف، في الفترة من 5 إلى 7 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2001.

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights continued to promote inter-agency cooperation through collaboration with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the International Labour Organization within the framework of the International Decade of the World’s Indigenous People through such initiatives as the workshop on indigenous peoples, private sector natural resource, energy and mining companies and human rights, which was held at Geneva from 5 to 7 December 2001.
